I have always loved photography. This passion began for me in high school when I took my first photography class. Working in the school darkroom was so much fun for me that I bought my own darkroom equipment for home. I was the photographer for the high school yearbook, and enjoyed capturing various school events and memorable moments. I won a city-wide photography contest with a theme entitled, “New Beginning.” I was hooked!During college I studied education, but was able to incorporate a photography class into my schedule, and again found myself thrilled to be back in the darkroom. However, during the remaining time of my college career, I was extremely busy with school and extra-curricular activities, but I always kept my camera close by.
After college I worked in the corporate world for 10 years, however, I am extremely happy to say that I am now a full time Mommy and enjoying a fulfilling photography career. I guess you could call this my, “New Beginning.”
My style is relaxed and casual. I shoot on location, mostly outdoors, using natural light to capture the personalities of children and families in their natural environment. You’ll often see me sitting on the ground, playing with your children, building the rapport that allows me to get that perfect shot. My passion for photography, in addition with my love for children, makes this the perfect job for me.
